Day of Service – 9/11

As part of AmeriCorps, CSU STEM VISTA members participate in a day of service on 9/11. Here are a few snapshots from this year!

At Sunny Circle Farm Ale and Christa cleared rows for new crops, tilled the soil, and mixed in new compost.

Jake Suicide Walk.jpg
Jake was part of the support team for a Suicide Prevention Walk/Run with his school group Educational Counseling Association.

With the RiverTree Volunteers Miranda and Lilli joined The Great Sierra River Cleanup. They picked up trash along the river and nearby trails. Next time, they hope to be part of the kayak, cleanup crew!

Cheyanne Trail Steward.jpg
Cheyanne volunteered with the Bolsa Chica Conservancy. She removed invasive weeds (such as Tumbleweed) to help native plants thrive.

Casey spent her day at the Woods Humane Society. She plans on continuing to volunteer there throughout the rest of the year.
